Cuba Quarter Liaison 

Cuba Quarter Liaison - CubaDupa
Location: Wellington, NZ
Contract: Part-time, fixed-term

 

Do you love building relationships, supporting communities, and being at the heart of large-scale events? CubaDupa, Wellington’s iconic and free street festival, is looking for a people-focused Cuba Quarter Liaison to help us deliver an unforgettable event in 2026.

 

About the role
The Cuba Quarter Liaison is the key connector between the festival and the Cuba Street precinct. You’ll work closely with businesses, vendors, residents, and body corporates to ensure the festival runs smoothly for everyone. From coordinating food vendors and retail stalls, to communicating with local businesses about access and logistics, to supporting sustainability initiatives – you’ll be on the ground making sure the community feels informed, supported, and engaged.

 

During the festival weekend, you’ll play a critical role in managing vendor operations, resolving issues, and ensuring health and safety compliance across the footprint – all while upholding the manaakitanga and spirit that makes CubaDupa unique.

 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating vendor registrations, payments, logistics, and onsite operations

  • Liaising with Cuba Street businesses, residents, and body corporates about access, parking, and disruptions

  • Supporting sustainability and waste management plans with vendors

  • Overseeing vendor infrastructure needs (power, waste, lighting, barriers)

  • Monitoring and escalating any health & safety or unauthorised activity

  • Assisting with sponsor activations connected to vendors

  • Providing clear and proactive communications to stakeholders

  • Leading vendor management during the CubaDupa weekend (28–29 March 2026)
     

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has strong stakeholder and relationship management skills

  • Is experienced in vendor or event operations (ideally large-scale festivals/events)

  • Can juggle multiple deadlines and remain calm under pressure

  • Communicates clearly and confidently with diverse stakeholders

  • Understands health and safety in events and can handle issues on the ground

  • Is organised, adaptable, and comfortable using digital systems (Airtable, Google Workspace, Xero preferred)

  • Brings a professional, approachable, and solutions-focused presence onsite

Operations Manager

Operations Manager – NZ Fringe Festival

Location: Wellington, NZ
Employment type: Fixed-term (Festival Contract)

 

Do you thrive in the fast-paced world of events and love bringing creative projects to life? NZ Fringe Festival is looking for an experienced and highly organised Operations Manager to join our team and help deliver one of the most vibrant arts festivals in Aotearoa.

 

About the role

The Operations Manager is the backbone of our festival delivery, ensuring smooth ticketing operations, seamless venue coordination, excellent audience experiences, and strong support for our artists, partners, and team. You’ll be managing key systems, overseeing box office and merchandise, liaising with venues, supporting volunteers, and making sure every operational detail runs like clockwork.

 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing festival ticketing systems (Red61), reporting, and reconciliation

  • Coordinating venues, FOH ticketing equipment, and schedules

  • Delivering sponsor benefits and activations

  • Overseeing merchandise sales and inventory

  • Managing volunteer training and FOH teams

  • Handling artist and audience enquiries with warmth and professionalism

  • Maintaining festival processes, manuals, and operational documentation
     

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has strong event operations or ticketing management experience

  • Can juggle multiple priorities with calm efficiency

  • Is a confident communicator who builds great relationships

  • Has excellent attention to detail and thrives in problem-solving

  • Enjoys working in a collaborative, creative environment

  • Is comfortable with tech systems (experience with Red61, Airtable, and Google Drive is a plus)

Artists and Venues Coordinator

 

Artist & Venue Coordinator – NZ Fringe Festival
Location: Wellington, NZ

Contract: Fixed-term (Festival Contract)

 

Do you love connecting people, supporting artists, and making creative events run smoothly? The New Zealand Fringe Festival is looking for a friendly, organised, and proactive Artist & Venue Coordinator to be the go-to person for our incredible community of artists and venues.

 

About the role
You’ll be at the heart of the festival’s artist and venue experience – guiding them through registration, making sure they have the right information and support, and helping match shows with the perfect spaces. You’ll also assist with artist development programmes, funding schemes, and special festival events like the Programme Launch, Opening Gala and Fringe Awards.

 

It’s a people-focused role that blends communication, admin, and on-the-ground event delivery. No two days are the same, and you’ll be talking to everyone – from emerging artists to venue managers, from festival crew to sponsors.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage artist and venue communications throughout registration and festival delivery

  • Coordinate artist services, passes, and information for the printed programme

  • Support artist development workshops and funding programmes (including Kākano)

  • Match artists with venues and ensure contracts, details, and logistics are in place

  • Assist with festival events, sponsor activations, and merchandise placement

  • Maintain up-to-date festival systems and records (Eventotron, Airtable, Google Drive)

  • Provide friendly, informed support to artists, venues, and audiences during the festival
     

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has excellent communication and relationship-building skills

  • Can keep track of details while managing multiple deadlines

  • Is comfortable with event administration and systems (bonus if you know Eventotron or Red61)

  • Has experience in event delivery and understands artist and venue needs

  • Is proactive, adaptable, and thrives in a busy festival environment

  • Loves being part of a collaborative, creative team

Administrator

 

Festival Administrator – Creative Capital Arts Trust
Location: Wellington, NZ
Contract: Fixed-term

 

Creative Capital Arts Trust (CCAT), producers of CubaDupa and the New Zealand Fringe Festival, is seeking a detail-oriented and adaptable Festival Administrator to support our busy senior management and festival teams through the most exciting time of our year.

 

About the role
As our Festival Administrator, you’ll be the organisational backbone – providing direct support to the Chief Executive while assisting the wider teams with financial processes, box office operations, sponsor activations, and event logistics. You’ll keep our systems running smoothly, our records accurate, and our festival weekends well-supported. It’s the perfect role for someone who loves variety, prioritises key tasks, and wants to gain hands-on experience across multiple aspects of festival delivery. This role is ideal for an early career producer looking for experience administering large festivals.

 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing administrative support to senior management and festival teams

  • Assisting with box office duties and daily sales reconciliations

  • Managing receipts, invoices, and payments in Xero (training provided)

  • Coordinating stakeholder event invites and RSVPs

  • Supporting sponsor activations and VIP hosting during festivals

  • Maintaining office systems, resources, and reception during busy periods

  • Assisting with merchandise stocktake, ordering, and sales

  • Designing and delivering festival surveys and collating event reporting
     

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has excellent organisational skills and attention to detail

  • Communicates clearly and professionally with diverse stakeholders

  • Is comfortable prioritising tasks across finance, admin, and event support

  • Is proactive, adaptable, and thrives under festival timelines

  • Works well in a team environment and supports colleagues positively

  • Is confident with digital tools (experience with Xero, Airtable, or Red61 is a plus, but training will be given)
     

Contract dates: December 2, 2025 – May 1, 2026
